12-15-16 Change in the Next Decade

Change happens unexpectedly, and frankly I have no idea the types of change I will go through in the next decade. I suppose I will definitely change taste in friends, music and food along with changing morally and personality-wise. I am sure that when I am ten years older, I’m not still going to be concerned with the matters of Metallica and their new songs or how old Louis Tomlinson is (he’ll be thirty-eight with 8 days remaining until he turns thirty-nine). I probably won’t still be obsessed with taco’s either, no matter how tasty they are. Not only that but I will probably not want to have as many tattoos and piercings that I currently am planning on getting, and have for that matter. My friends won’t be the same, and, based on the events happening at the moment, we probably won’t even be in touch. So I expect myself to change a lot, and the only thing I can say is that I should probably just embrace it when the time comes.

12-15-16 How is the Nobel Peace Prize relevant today?

Many people wonder about the relevance of the Nobel Peace Prize today, and how much it really matters or effects the world. In my opinion, the Nobel Peace Prize is relevant because it helps emphasize the importance of peace, human rights, disarmament, negotiations, and brotherhood between nations. For example, Desmond Tutu received a Nobel Peace Prize for his nonviolent campaign in Africa. Another example is Martti Ahtisaani, who also received a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve international conflicts. So next time you wonder whether or not the Peace Prize is relevant, it is and it always will be.

11/22/16 What am I thankful for?

I am thankful for my grandmother. I believe I have already told my life story on here once, which you kind find on my All About Me page. Any way, long story short, my grandmother took me in and gave me a place to live, food to eat, and made sure I had clothes to wear and I can never, ever make it up to her. She is always helpful to me and she never lets me down. Ok. Well, sometimes.

I am also thankful for my friends here at school who always support me, even when at my all-time lowest. They never go a day without having to reassure me of something and I appreciate them so much for putting up with that and tolerating me.  They always make sure I know that I’m loved and appreciated and they never fail to keep me happy. They never spend and entire day without annoying me but I love them anyway because without them, I would probably not be here.

I love you guys and the fact that I am still here is a blessing beyond compare. Every day I spend here is a day I could be dead or dying and I am so so very  thankful for that.

You guys take advantage of the time you have and you have no idea how much longer you are going to be. I’ve been to some pretty dark places and I know how it feels to not want to be here, but trust me. once you’re at the place where you feel like you are never going to get back up, when you cant stand up anymore without wanting to lay back down. when you end up in the hospital on life support. then you will finally understand what you have been missing and just how much you have taken advantage of an you are going to feel so bad about it. So please just be thankful for everyday you’ve got here and for every meal you get.

Have A Great Week Guys!!!!!

Maycomb Tribune Editorial 11/18/16

last night around ten or eleven, i witnessed a lynch mob gathered around a circle of light in front of the Maycomb County Jail. In the center of the light sat one of my closest friends, Atticus Finch. If it wasn’t for this brave man, our newest arrival in the Jail would’ve been killed. Maybe even hanged.

Now i, for one, believe that Tom Robinson deserves a fair trial in our courts, but these young, and old, men seem to think otherwise.

Mr. Tom Robinson is a man of the black race. he is a resident in our town, and even goes to First Purchase Church regularly. that is, util recently when he was accused of rape against dear Ms. Mayella Ewell.

The men that made up the lynch mob last night seemed to be all white men, as far as i could tell. They were trying to convince Atticus to let them into the jail so they could drag Robinson out and hang him.

they felt as though he didn’t deserve a fair trial. they thought it was best that the innocent woman would not have to face her rapist in trial, and therefore gave them every right to serve him justice themselves. It was a blacks man’s word against a young white woman.

I overheard one of the men saying that the only other people that would’ve held them back had been called off on a hunt, which gave them a perfect chance to ” take care of him”.

Atticus was in a pinch, and mightve gotten hurt if it wasnt for his young son and his friends.

Right when something bad might’ve happened and i might’ve had to use the gun i was using to protect sir Finch his daughter, jean Louise Finch, showed up. She was followed by Jem and a young man named Dill, if i’m correct his name is actually Charles Baker Harris.

Her daddy asked them to leave multiple times, but the kids, not knowing they were in danger, insisted on staying. when there was a moment of silence, young Scout asked a question that made all the men think, without her knowing the effect she was going to have.

She asked Mr. Cunningham a question about his son and reminded him that their families knew each other, and have always been helpful to him.

it got me thinking too. After all this, our families are still going to be friends.

Now Atticus Finch stood his ground for this man. because he was determined for Tom Robinson to have a fair trial and for the truth to come out. After scout was finished, all the men left with cool heads and they all had a bit of thinking to do. Hopefully some of these men changed their minds and even if they don’t want Tom to win, they might let him have a fair trial at least.

News Article 11/2/16

What did Mrs. Mobley have to say to Keith when he started researching the murder of Emmett Till? :

She told him ” Keith you’re about to grab a rattlesnake by the tail”

What did they have to say about each other?:

Keith: “Stanley Nelson – and I don’t want to talk bad about him – he knew I was working on this film. PBS turned me down many times; he’s a known documentarian. But I guess it was helpful that his film was done: it brought a lot of attention to this case.”                                                                                                   Stanley: “I’ve met him.”

How did Nelson feel about having made the film?:

“It’s a great feeling, it’s an incredible feeling, to be a bit part of this,” Mr. Nelson said of the Justice Department’s re-examination of the case. “The film was hard to make, it was emotional to make, it was also an honor to make.”

10/15/16 What scares me the most in life?

I think the thing that scares me the most in life is having my heart shattered again and no one wanting to salvage the pieces that scattered in the wind. I guess a lot of people would admonish me for my fear, but they just don’t know me and my past so they wouldn’t understand. A lot of people just tell me that I have to relinquish my emotions and stop letting them get to me, but I guess that’s just too difficult anymore. I guess being bipolar and having anger issues might predispose me to unbridled crying sessions after break-ups, but I just wish that so many people would be so spurious in relationships. Every relationship i seem to get into gets muddled up and, the next thing you know, people are spasmodically fighting and yelling loudly at each other and getting into deadlocked arguments causing yet another break-up. The majority of the kids at our school are opinionated when it ones to who they want to date, hang out with, etc.. that it’s really hilarious sometimes to just sit back and watch as everyone else’s relationships slowly diffuse, but when it happens to you, its different and suddenly not as funny.

Ok guys. i suppose the majority of ya’ll maybe fell for that. Well let me tell you something. That stuff up there? It isn’t true. I mean some of it is, but not really. What i’m really afraid of is going outside of my house in the dark because we live in the middle of nowhere by the woods.

10/12/16 America’s Materialistic-ism

Do I think America is too materialistic, or has too much stuff? Hmm. What a dilemma. Well, actually, yes. I really do. You see, many people complain about not having enough stuff when, the thing is, the have a large abundance of things they really don’t need. And if we didn’t have enough stuff we wouldn’t such disgustingly large people and we really wouldn’t have people who are unbridled hoarders.  I personally think people should be admonished for their eagerness to collect large abundances of useless stuff that they don’t even need. The people that hoard this stuff should relinquish the stuff they have no use for, even if it has a meaning to them, for the better of the country. I realize that they try to salvage anything that may have value to them, but they are only capable of doing that because America just manufactures too much stuff. People that say  America isn’t too materialistic are being absolutely spurious.  Also, another example of having “too much stuff” is Rumpke. Rumpke is a trash dump full of debris and it’s absolutely revolting. The smell Rumpke puts off can actually predispose small children to different kinds of diseases and cancers because at night the workers put out torches and some of the stuff on Rumpke is actually toxic and if it burns or the fumes mix with the flames it can diffuse more than 400 meters before it becomes in-toxic. This topic of conversation has so many muddled answers too it, its hilarious. Some people may find me opinionated when it comes to this topic because of my past, but its only the way I feel.

10/6/16 My Mix-tape

What songs would be on my mix-tape? Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkle, anything by Seether, Disturbed, Skillet, Five-Finger Death Punch, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, and Breaking Benjamin. Pat Benatar, Aerosmith, and Bon-Jovi are some of my favorite singers. All the songs these people and bands sing have a great meaning and I really connect with them. Another one is Miley Cirrus.

10/6/16 Who was my first crush?

My first crush was Gene Wilder. I was in first grade when I saw the original Charlie and the Chocolate factory and decided that Willy Wonka was going to be my husband when I got older. I wrote a letter to him and gave it to my mother to give to him, but I don’t think he ever got it. I liked him because I knew he could supply me with all the food I would ever need for me and my children. I also liked him because he could sing really good and, in my mind, that boy was HOTTT. Like, seriously the hottest guy on earth. Another reason I liked him was because he was as psychotic as I was. He also had the most beautiful smile on earth.
