12-15-16 How is the Nobel Peace Prize relevant today?

Many people wonder about the relevance of the Nobel Peace Prize today, and how much it really matters or effects the world. In my opinion, the Nobel Peace Prize is relevant because it helps emphasize the importance of peace, human rights, disarmament, negotiations, and brotherhood between nations. For example, Desmond Tutu received a Nobel Peace Prize for his nonviolent campaign in Africa. Another example is Martti Ahtisaani, who also received a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve international conflicts. So next time you wonder whether or not the Peace Prize is relevant, it is and it always will be.
